Proposed Community / Event Hall
Igbo Association Tampa Bay, Inc. plans to build a spectacular and an exceptional arts and event facility that offers a spacious area of approximately 87,120 sq. ft (2 acres of land).
The building will cover an area of about 18,000 to 20,000 sq ft. and will have a sitting of 800 to 1000. This will be our community center.
Community centers are public locations where members of the Association tend to gather for group activities, public information, social support, and other purposes.
They may sometimes be open for the whole community or a specialized group within the greater community.
This building will provide a space for cultural and educational activities and social services to benefit the entire community.
The movement to build this cultural center is gathering interest and we will encourage everybody to get involved.
We need generous and focused individuals who will diligently and selflessly give their time and energy to make sure this project is accomplished.

Empowering our youths is very critical because it will shape the Igbo world. Our Kids! Our Culture! Our Pride!
We aim to preserve our language and culture by teaching the younger ones. The Igbo language is not difficult to master, and we intend to dwell on the basics as well as our folklore and history.
When we lose our language, we lose our identity as a people/nation. Come let us breach this gap or rather cement it.
The Igbo Tampa Bay Inc. and environ is creating an enabling environment, while calling on all Igbo families to come together, bringing our kids along with us to Igbo bi-monthly meetings where the learning and transmission of the Igbo language in a well-structured curriculum shall be delivered/transmitted to our Children by designated/qualified personnel.
