About Us
The Igbo Association Tampa Bay, Inc. is a cultural, non-political and non-profit organization, which membership comprises of residents who trace their heritage to the Igbo indigenous people of South Eastern Nigeria of present day Abia, Anambra, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers states of Nigeria.
The Igbo people in the Tampa Bay area got together in the summer of 1996 to launch the local Igbo Association, to unify the Igbos in the Tampabay area and build an integrated Igbo community and gathering place in Tampa Bay serving as both a cultural anchor and a hub for economic empowerment and political influence for generations to come.

Mr. Obed Ariri is one of the pioneer members of Igbo Association Tampa Bay, Inc. He has served the Association credibly in various capacity. Mr. Ariri is a community leader whose main goal is to unify Ndi Igbo nile in the Tampa Bay area and build on the gains of the past administrations. A proud son of Umuorri-Uratta Owerri, Imo State. An alumni of Holy Ghost College, Owerri (1971) and Clemson University South Carolina USA, the home of the fighting Tigers. Go Tigers!

Kanayo is from Ogbunka , Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Emeka is a native of Ezira in Orumba South LGA of Anambra State.
Mazi George Ikegwu is from Umuokweke Umuekwunein Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State. He is the pioneer treasurer Igbo Association, Tampa Bay, Inc. Currently serving as the Publicity Secretary. George lives in Seminole Florida.
Mazi Chibunna Njoku hails from Imo state. He has served the Association in various capacities and is the Secretary Emeritus. He is an active member of the community and an advocate for political correctness.

Victoria Ibewuike hails from Orsu LGA of Imo State. She is a registered nurse who finds interest in critical care, she is a seasoned engineer (M-Engr) with the zeal to serve her community in various capacity. An articulate social butterfly with great self-esteem. She is married with brilliant children.
Bartholomew Uchechukwu Nwagbuo is from Ntueke in Ideato South LGA of Imo State Nigeria. He holds a B.S degree in Construction Engineering from Florida A&M University. Bartholomew used to work for several engineering firms during which he was directly involved with I-75 widening from Columbia County to Marion County and other state roads in Florida. In 1996, Bartholomew established BUN Construction Company, Inc. in Tampa, FL. Since then, his business has expanded to include a chain of self-storage facilities among which is BUN Self Storage established in 2008.
